Presentation guidelines

Paper presentations

Each paper presentation has been scheduled for a 30-minute time slot. Presenters should prepare for a 20-minute oral presentation with accompanying slides followed by a 10-minute question and answer period. We have scheduled five minutes between presentations to allow movement between rooms. Please avoid entering or leaving rooms during presentation slots, including during the question and answer period.

Each room is equipped with universal adaptors that connect to a projector. Presenters are required to bring their own laptop or tablet and any adaptors or cables they need beyond the universal adaptor.

We encourage presenters to test their presentations in their assigned rooms during lunch or coffee breaks prior to their scheduled presentation, if possible. Volunteers will be available throughout the conference to assist with technical issues.

Poster presentations

Posters should be no larger than 36x48 inches (portrait or landscape orientation are both fine). You may assemble your poster presentation from smaller sheets of paper if you are unable to travel with a large poster, but please ensure that your poster looks professional once reassembled.

Presenters are responsible for printing, bringing, and setting up their own poster. We will provide display boards and push pins for mounting your poster. Please arrive 20 minutes before your scheduled poster session to set up your poster.

Presenters are required to stand by their poster for their entire session to answer questions.
