Submission Requirements:​

Paper presentations will be formal presentations of 20 minutes, with an additional 5 minutes for Q&A session with audience members. An in-progress study with preliminary findings is also welcomed. Please follow the requirements below for your submission:

• Titles should be descriptive and must not exceed 15 words. 

• Abstracts must not exceed 300 words.

• In-text citations and reference lists are expected and may be presented in any formal referencing style (e.g., APA, MLA). The reference list is not included in the word count. 

• Indication of language (English or French) of presentation is required.

• Submissions must be completed by the first author.

Submission Evaluation:

All submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria: 

• Topic is appropriate and related to the fields of language education and applied linguistics. 

• The abstract clearly states significance and objectives of the research.

• The abstract shows clear theoretical considerations.

• The abstract shows clear methodological rigour and details.

• The abstract is written in an organized and logical manner.

Submission Guidelines:

Please submit your abstract using Microsoft Research Conference Management Toolkit (CMT).

1. Access the Submission Site: To go to the MonISLA2024 submission platform, click here or enter the following URL into your browser: https://cmt3.research.microsoft.com/MONISLA2024/Submission/Index

2. Register or Log into the CMT: If you already have an account with the CMT, please log in with your credentials. If not, please register for one by clicking the “register” button. 

3. Create a New Submission: Once logged in, you will be directed to the Author Console. To start a new submission, click "+create new submission" on the top-left corner of your screen.

4. Completing the Submission Form: On the submission page, fill in the required fields for the title, abstract, and author list. After completing all required fields, click “Submit”. All successful submissions will be listed on your author console.

 

 

All evaluation decisions will be communicated to authors at the beggining of April, 2024.
